“I can only eat what my husband wants me to eat” – M’sian shares details of her toxic 20 year marriage

MARRIAGE is certainly not a cake walk but there are always good, memorable moments to it. Unfortunately for this Malaysian woman who has since been divorced from her husband of 20 years, this was not the case.

According to China Press, her troubles first started at the young age of 17.

Her father had passed away and with her family suffering from financial issues, she was asked by her mother to drop out of school and get married to help her family. Clearly backed into a corner, she had no choice but to accept the offer.

But her husband was none too kind, according to her. Even after 20 years of marriage, her husband would call her “hey” or even worse, “hoi”.

“For example: “Hey, what are you doing?” This happens whenever I am cooking or out in the yard and following his orders slowly.”

To make matters worse, she explained that she could only eat what her husband desired to eat.

“I can only eat what my husband wants to eat. My appetite, what I want, what I dream of, it’s just a dream! And this was throughout the entire 20 years of marriage,” she said bitterly.

One would hope that her husband would be kinder to her during her pregnancy days. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

During her first pregnancy, she often suffered from unbearable headaches, which would leave her in tears due to the pain. Instead of finding a way to comfort his wife, her husband would instead resort to cursing at her and for “making so much noise that he couldn’t sleep peacefully“.

Even when she had her pregnancy cravings, as she knew she would never get what her heart desired.

“I don’t have the right to eat anything. I can eat whatever I want as long as I’m not hungry. This is the result of my husband’s teachings.”

She then explained that she has since divorced her husband. We hope she’s doing much better now and is able to eat whatever she desires.
