AmanahRaya REIT appoints assessors after fatal HELP University blast

AmanahRaya REIT appoints independent assessors after a fatal air-conditioner explosion at HELP University’s cafeteria kills one and injures nine others.

KUALA LUMPUR: AmanahRaya Real Estate Investment Trust is appointing independent assessors following a fatal incident at HELP University.

The move comes after an air-conditioner compressor explosion at the university’s cafeteria in Bukit Damansara earlier today.

One person was killed and nine others were injured in the blast.

The affected canteen area was evacuated and remains restricted as a precaution.

In a statement, AmanahRaya REIT said it is providing aid and support to HELP University.

The trust’s manager is working closely with police and emergency services.

It reaffirmed its full commitment to cooperate with all investigative requirements.

AmanahRaya REIT said updates will be provided as verified information becomes available.

The safety of all occupants and stakeholders across its assets remains a top priority.

HELP University is one of 12 properties held by AmanahRaya REIT as of Dec 31, 2024.
