A 34-year-old man’s decomposed body was found in a parked Nissan Almera in Ayer Keroh, with police investigating the case as a sudden death.
AYER KEROH: The body of a man was found inside a car at a parking area here.
Melaka Tengah district police chief ACP Christopher Patit said a team was dispatched after receiving a call about a Nissan Almera emitting a foul odour and swarmed by flies.
Checks found the body of a 34-year-old local man in the driver’s seat, with the remains already decomposed.
A glass container containing traces of burnt charcoal was also found inside the vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer.
The body was sent to the Melaka Hospital forensic department for a post-mortem.
Police did not find any elements of criminal activity.
The case has been classified as a sudden death report, but police are still looking into various angles to complete the investigation paper.
