Malaysia’s JS-SEZ Masterplan and Investment Blueprint will be launched by Q4 2026, outlining cross-border economic development plans
KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) Masterplan and Investment Blueprint is expected to be launched by the fourth quarter of 2026, said Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.
He said the document is already in place, with government agencies currently working to deliver investments that have been pledged to the economic zone.
“I think we can further explore the details of the document when the time comes,” he told a press conference after launching the JS-SEZ Executive Forum 2026 here, today.
The JS-SEZ Masterplan and Investment Blueprint will serve as a comprehensive roadmap, outlining the strategic, systematic and collaborative framework for the next phase of cross-border economic development.
Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) federal commissioner and director of Corporate Management and Finance, Nor Hisham Mohd Yusof, said the blueprint, developed in collaboration with the Economy Ministry, will elaborate on key investment focus areas, priority sectors, infrastructure enhancements and talent ecosystem development.
