MACC partners with MBOT to accredit its officers in AI, cybersecurity and digital forensics, boosting tech capabilities for anti-graft efforts.
PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will boost its technological capabilities through a collaboration with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).
The partnership aims to accredit MACC officers as certified technology professionals.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the initiative supports the national integrity agenda through a holistic approach.
He stated the commission is emphasising governance and integrity backed by modern technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and digital forensics.
“The MACC fully supports efforts to recognise its officers as certified professionals in various technology-related fields,” Azam said.
He added the collaboration will enhance officers’ competency, professionalism and career development.
It will also promote adherence to professional standards and encourage continuous learning.
The partnership will facilitate training, accreditation and technical skills development programmes.
These programmes will focus on information and communications technology (ICT), cybersecurity and digital forensics.
Azam said this is in direct response to the challenges posed by modern crime and corruption.
He received a courtesy visit from an MBOT delegation led by its president, Prof Emeritus Datuk Ts. Ir. Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir, earlier today.
The meeting was held at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.
