BAM appoints Harry Hartono, Yeoh Kay Bin and Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif as new national coaches to boost player development and performance.
THE Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has appointed three new coaches to strengthen its national training setup.
BAM Performance Committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Lee Chong Wei announced the strategic appointments today.
Harry Hartono has been appointed as the new men’s singles coach.

Yeoh Kay Bin will take on the role of junior men’s singles coach.
Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif has been named as the new women’s doubles coach.
Chong Wei said the appointments were made after discussions with Singles Director Kenneth Jonassen.
“He submitted a list of coaching candidates, with a focus on continuity for young players,” Chong Wei said.
“Both of us are former players and understand the needs of coaches.”
He added that Jonassen provided his views on the most suitable roles for the new coaches.
Harry and Kay Bin will join the men’s singles coaching team led by Head Coach Datuk Tey Seu Bock.
They will work alongside existing coaches K. Yogendran, Alvin Chew and Goh Giap Chin.
Chong Wei expressed confidence in the new coaches’ experience and expertise.
He believes they will add significant value to the national training programme.
Their goal is to help produce players capable of competing consistently at the international level.
Regarding the women’s doubles appointment, Chong Wei met with Doubles Director Rexy Mainaky.
“He personally proposed Zakry as one of the candidates,” Chong Wei added.
In the women’s doubles setup, Zakry will work with Head Coach Rosman Razak.
He will also collaborate with coaches Ching Kai Feng and Amelia Anscelly.
All three coaches will officially assume their duties in February.
Yeoh Kay Bin will report for duty on February 3.
Harry Hartono will begin his role on February 10.
Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif will start on February 20. – Bernama
