Flood evacuees in Perak drop to seven from three families

Flood situation in Perak improves as evacuee numbers fall to seven people from three families, sheltered at a single relief centre in Manjoi

IPOH: The number of flood evacuees in Perak has decreased to seven people from three families this afternoon.

This is down from 11 individuals from five families reported this morning.

All victims have been placed at the Dewan Kampung Tengku Hussein relief centre in Manjoi since yesterday.

They are residents of Kampung Manjoi and Kampung Tengku Hussein affected by the floods.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and rain in the afternoon and evening for eight districts.
