Kedah police deploy 30 multi-purpose vehicles to schools to tackle bullying and disciplinary problems, enhancing student safety and community cooperation.
JITRA: Kedah police have deployed 30 multi-purpose police vehicles to selected schools across the state to tackle student disciplinary issues.
Police chief Datuk Adzly Abu Shah said the initiative aims to address disciplinary problems and bullying while creating a calm and secure school environment.
“We will patrol alongside teachers in the evenings,” he told reporters after visiting Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Hosba here.
“We want to foster a safe environment and build confidence among students.”
He explained that the visible police presence makes children feel safer and deters others from causing trouble.
“With the police present, God willing, any problems can be resolved,” he added.
Adzly also called on the community, especially parents, to take greater interest in their children’s whereabouts and activities.
“I urge the public, especially parents, to question where their teenage children are going if they go out at night,” he said.
He emphasised the need to revive community spirit and show concern for all children in the neighbourhood.
The police will continue cooperating with relevant parties, particularly the State Education Department, to tackle school disciplinary issues effectively. – Bernama
