ON 24 Nov 2022, Anwar Ibrahim was sworn in as Malaysia’s 10th prime minister after the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition won the most seats in the election. When it happened, many Malaysians responded with joyous disbelief on social media.
Now, he has even won the admiration of a British man who could not help but express his admiration for our Prime Minister in a TikTok video.
User @veggiesontour was impressed by Anwar’s speech where he addressed the issue going on in Gaza.
The foreigner also shared his thoughts on why he felt that Anwar is the benchmark that every world leader should strive to be.
In the video titled ‘The World Needs A Prime Minister Like Malaysia,‘ Pat expressed admiration for Anwar, specifically commending his stance on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
He said Anwar’s decision to put Malaysian people first, to fight corruption, and to unite the Malaysian people as a whole has made Anwar one of the “better” leaders among other world leaders.
Later in the video, he compared the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak with Anwar which he described as,“ did not put British people first nor had a proper firm stance for the Middle East issue.”
The video has garnered almost 14,000 likes since it was posted on Oct 27.
