Selangor’s 2026 budget prioritises education and poverty eradication programmes, with comprehensive approach balancing growth and welfare.
SHAH ALAM: The Selangor 2026 Budget will prioritise the implementation of new programmes based on education and poverty eradication.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the two main pillars are emphasised to ensure the people continue to progress alongside the state’s development.
He added that the state government is actively finalising the essence of the final plan ahead of the budget tabling to ensure announced policies and allocations truly benefit the people.

Amirudin stated the budget involves not merely managing figures but drafting the future and ensuring every policy and allocation brings real benefits.
He said he held meetings with the State Secretary, State Financial Officer and department heads this afternoon to finalise the state’s plan for next year.
Amirudin added that Selangor’s Budget 2026 was being formulated with a comprehensive approach emphasising a balance between economic growth and people’s well-being.
He expressed confidence that Selangor’s Budget 2026 will bring good news for the state’s civil servants and all Selangor residents.
