Flood evacuees in Perak and Kedah decrease slightly to 909 people across seven relief centres as flood situation stabilises.
KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood evacuees in Perak and Kedah has shown a slight decrease, with 909 people still sheltering at relief centres (PPS) compared with 913 last night.
In Perak, the number of evacuees remained unchanged, with 139 people from 38 families still housed at two PPS in the Manjung district.
According to the Perak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) secretariat, the PPS at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Padang Serai was still housing 130 people from 36 families, while the centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Batu accommodated nine people from two families.

Meanwhile, in Kedah, 770 people from 216 families were still housed at five PPS this morning, down slightly from 774 yesterday.
The Kedah JPBN reported that the Pendang district continued to record the highest number of evacuees, with 580 people from 162 families accommodated at three PPS.
A total of 138 people from 38 families were still sheltering at a PPS in Kota Setar, while 52 people from 16 families were housed at a centre in Pokok Sena. – Bernama
