Johor police probe online game link in six-year-old’s stabbing

A nine-year-old boy in Johor allegedly stabbed his brother after losing Roblox points, with police investigating game influence.

JOHOR BAHRU: Police are investigating whether a nine-year-old boy stabbed his six-year-old brother after losing points in the online game Roblox.

Johor police chief Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad said preliminary findings suggest the older brother attacked out of anger when his game was disrupted.

“The motive is still under investigation, but our initial findings suggest that the boy may have attacked his younger brother because of the Roblox game, where the points he had collected were lost after his phone was damaged.”

Both parents, aged 40, have been remanded until tomorrow to assist investigations under Section 326 of the Penal Code and Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
