Fire at hotel Japanese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur fully extinguished

A ventilation blower fire at a Japanese restaurant in a Kuala Lumpur hotel caused 25% damage, with no casualties reported.

KUALA LUMPUR: A ventilation blower fire caused anxiety at a prominent hotel in the capital this morning.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Operations Centre received an emergency call about the incident at 10.21 am.

A fire engine and four personnel from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.

The team discovered the fire involved a Japanese restaurant on the hotel’s second floor.

A 5×5-square-foot ventilation blower was approximately 25 per cent damaged by the flames.

No casualties were reported from the restaurant fire incident.

Firefighters fully extinguished the blaze by 11.15 am.

The cause of the fire and estimated losses remain under investigation. – Bernama
