Magnum reaffirms responsible gaming excellence with WLA Level 3 Recertification

Magnum earns WLA Level 3 Recertification, reaffirming its commitment to responsible gaming, integrity, and sustainable play in Malaysia.

MAGNUM Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (Magnum) has once again demonstrated its commitment to responsible gaming, achieving Level 3 Recertification under the Responsible Gaming Framework (RGF) from the World Lottery Association (WLA).

This milestone highlights Magnum’s ongoing dedication to providing a safe, sustainable, and balanced gaming experience in Malaysia.

Magnum first secured Level 3 Certification in 2021, becoming the first Malaysian Number Forecast Operator (NFO) to reach this standard.

With this latest recertification, the company continues to set the benchmark for integrity, safety, and sustainability within the industry.

WLA members undergo recertification every three years to ensure compliance with evolving Responsible Gaming standards and demonstrate continued progress.

“We are honoured to have attained this recertification.

“This achievement reflects our steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and responsibility in the gaming industry.

“We take pride in fostering a culture of healthy play, not only among our customers but also across our employees and retailers,” said Dato’ Lawrence Lim Swee Lin, Chief Executive Officer of Magnum Corporation Sdn. Bhd.

The WLA commended Magnum’s progress, stating: “Magnum has demonstrated consistent progress over the past three years, especially in enhancing its Responsible Gaming initiatives for employees, players, and retailers.

“Responsible Gaming is a cornerstone of Corporate Social Responsibility in the lottery sector.

“We are also pleased to see Magnum going even further by supporting wider community initiatives, and actively giving back to society, whether through monetary contributions like the recent #ProjectMagnumHearts, or through volunteering initiatives under the Magnum Volunteering Programme.”

Magnum’s commitment to responsible gaming extends across multiple initiatives.

The company organises an annual Responsible Gaming (RG) Week every May, engaging players, employees, and retailers through its retail network and digital platforms.

This year’s theme, “Balance Your Play, Brighten Your Day”, encouraged players to set personal limits, play in moderation, and enjoy gaming responsibly.

Free tools, including the Gaming Health Check Form and RG Calculator, are available on Magnum’s website to help players monitor and manage their gaming behaviour.

In addition, Magnum continues to collaborate with the Gambling Rehab Centre (GRC), supporting treatment and rehabilitation programmes for individuals facing challenges with excessive gambling.
