Pahang expects economic boom and new jobs from RM600 million super magnet manufacturing facility project in the state.

KUANTAN: Pahang anticipates significant economic growth and new employment opportunities from a RM600 million super magnet manufacturing facility project.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail described the project as high-impact with potential to attract both domestic and international investors.

He stated that fresh investments would generate jobs and draw more talent to Pahang while benefiting the local population through economic spillovers.

Wan Rosdy made these comments after representing the Prime Minister at a meet-and-greet session with Kuantan industry players at the Advanced Technology Training Centre.

He confirmed that further discussions on the project’s progress would be held with the federal government.

The state government will also provide its input and views related to this industrial development.

JS Link and Lynas Malaysia will develop the super magnet facility in Pahang according to recent reports.

This project is expected to bolster Malaysia’s role and open downstream prospects in the rare-earth sector. – Bernama
