Sessions Court grants temporary passport release to Vivy Yusof and husband for haj visa arrangements, amid ongoing RM8 million CBT case.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here has granted FashionValet founder Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband temporary release of their international passports.

Judge Rosli Ahmad allowed the application to facilitate visa arrangements for their haj pilgrimage.

The passports will be handed over from today until next Monday, after which they must be returned to the court.

Lawyer Shaarvin Raaj, representing the couple, said the release was for visa applications and subsequent flight bookings to Makkah.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Noor Syazwani Mohamad Sobry did not object to the request.

Vivy, 38, and Fadzarudin Shah Anuar, 37, were charged in December 2024 with criminal breach of trust involving RM8 million.

The funds were investment capital from Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Permodalan Nasional Berhad.

The couple, as directors of FashionValet Sdn Bhd, are accused of authorising an RM8 million payment to 30 Maple Sdn Bhd.

This payment was allegedly made without the approval of the company’s Board of Directors.

The offence is said to have occurred on Aug 21, 2018, at a Public Bank branch in Bukit Damansara.

They are charged under Section 409 of the Penal Code, read with Section 34.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ jail, whipping, and a possible fine upon conviction.
