KKDW and KEJORA boost rural transformation agenda in Johor

Rural ministry and KEJORA strengthen transformation efforts to ensure high-impact rural development outcomes in southeast Johor region.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Rural and Regional Development Ministry (KKDW) and South East Johor Development Authority (KEJORA) will strengthen their transformation agenda to ensure rural development continues generating high-impact outcomes.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed the commitment following his meeting with Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and KEJORA’s top management in Putrajaya.

“This discussion will mark a new phase in efforts to strengthen KEJORA’s overall direction,” he stated in a Facebook post.

Ahmad Zahid emphasized the importance of ensuring every rural development initiative remains high-impact and delivers tangible benefits to the people.

The session included a presentation on the KEJORA Transformation Action Plan designed to enhance socioeconomic development.

The plan specifically aims to improve community well-being across the southeast Johor region.

Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as Rural and Regional Development Minister, reiterated KKDW’s commitment to advancing sustainable rural development.

He affirmed the ministry’s dedication to an inclusive and balanced rural development agenda nationwide.
