Russian President Vladimir Putin supports a full ban on vape sales, citing positive experiences from neighbouring CIS countries and global examples.
SAMARA: Russian President Vladimir Putin has endorsed a proposal to completely ban vape sales throughout Russia.
Putin gave his approval during a visit to an adaptive sports promotion centre in Samara.
He noted that Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and the government support the initiative.

The proposal came from Ekaterina Leshchinskaya, head of the Zdorovoe Otechestvo public movement.
She highlighted successful vape bans in neighbouring Commonwealth of Independent States countries and other global examples.
Putin agreed to issue instructions implementing a comprehensive vape prohibition across Russian territory.
The president emphasised that youth education work is equally important alongside the ban itself. – Bernama-TASS
