Disinfection operation in Taiping to curb Covid-19 transmission

TAIPING: The Taiping Fire and Rescue Department has identified several mosques, suraus and schools to be disinfected to contain the spread of Covid-19 after the Batu Cluster has been detected in the district.

Taiping Fire and Rescue Station Zone Two chief Zaipul Bahari Mat Rusok @ Hassan said the Ops Disinfeksi would be carried out with cooperation from the District Health Office, Taiping and Selama Municipal Councils and District Security Council for Larut Matang and Selama.

“A total of 10 firemen are involved in disinfection works at all risky areas including the Kamunting Detention Centre here,” he told Bernama when contacted today.

He said the situation was still under control since the cluster was detected in prisons area and the Fire and Rescue Department was working hard to prevent the pandemic from spreading further. — Bernama
