Selangor Immigration Department’s Ops Omnipresence inspected 200 foreign nationals across multiple hotspots to ensure legal compliance and public safety
SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Immigration Department inspected 200 foreign nationals under its Ops Omnipresence enforcement operation.
The operation aimed to ensure compliance with immigration laws and maintain public safety and order during the festive season.
Its director, Khairrul Aminus Kamaruddin, said the operation covered several hotspots across the state.
These included areas around bus stops in Port Klang, the Klang Bus Terminal, and Kawasan 13 Klang.
Other locations were GM Klang, Dataran Otomobil Section 15 and the Taman Sri Muda Market in Shah Alam.
The Selayang Wholesale Market and Mentari Court in Petaling Jaya were also inspected.
“Ops Omnipresence involved 16 state immigration officers who are committed to ensuring compliance with immigration laws,” Khairrul said.
He added the operation was also to safeguard public safety and order.
The department will continue to intensify enforcement operations, according to the director.
He urged the public to channel information on suspicious activities to the authorities.
The operation was held from Friday until today.
It was implemented using official departmental cars equipped with beacon lights.
