A 56-year-old woman died and five others were injured in a five-vehicle collision on Jalan Payamas, Tangkak early this morning
TANGKAK: A woman was killed and five others sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident at Taman Sentosa early this morning.
The crash involved five vehicles including a Perodua Viva, Perodua Myvi, Toyota Hiace, Toyota Vios and Toyota Hilux.
Tangkak Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Zamri Ayub confirmed receiving an emergency call at 1.58 am.
Eight personnel were dispatched to the scene with an FRT engine and an EMRS unit.
“The victim who died was a 56-year-old woman, a passenger in the Perodua Viva,” Zamri said in a statement.
Ministry of Health personnel confirmed her death at the scene.
Two other Viva passengers, aged 60 and 65, were injured in the collision.
Three occupants of the Perodua Myvi also suffered injuries in the incident.
The injured included a 27-year-old woman, a 61-year-old woman and a 14-year-old male teenager.
All casualties were involved in the Jalan Payamas accident that occurred before dawn. – Bernama
