Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will face YouTube star Jake Paul in an eight-round professional fight at Miami’s Kaseya Center
LONDON: Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will fight YouTube star Jake Paul in a professional bout in the United States next month.
Matchroom Boxing announced the matchup on Monday.
Britain’s Joshua, a 36-year-old former two-time unified heavyweight champion, will face the YouTuber-turned-boxer at Kaseya Center in Miami.
The fight will consist of eight three-minute rounds.
This bout serves as a replacement for Paul, who was scheduled to fight lightweight Gervonta Davis in an exhibition match earlier this month before its cancellation.
Paul, 28, previously defeated heavyweight great Mike Tyson in Texas in November 2024.
Joshua has been inactive since being stopped by British compatriot Daniel Dubois at Wembley in September last year during their IBF title bout. – AFP
