Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek says the MADANI Adopted Schools programme has improved ICT facilities and digital learning in over 900 schools nationwide
NIBONG TEBAL: The MADANI Adopted School programme has delivered clear benefits to participating schools nationwide.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek confirmed over 900 schools have been designated under this initiative.
She said the programme strengthens facilities for 21st-century learning and digital education.
“All classrooms have been equipped with ICT facilities, enabling digital education programmes to be implemented effectively,” she told reporters after attending the Public Service Commission’s asset handover ceremony at SK Sungai Bakap.
Fadhlina added that the initiative encompasses teacher development, pupil activities, and infrastructure improvements.
Public Service Commission chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus said SK Sungai Bakap and SMK Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah were selected as adopted schools based on their strong potential.
He explained the selection considered the need to upgrade educational infrastructure identified through field surveys.
“Each school has received an allocation of RM100,000 for asset procurement and school beautification,” he said.
The funding covers upgrades to computer laboratories, meeting rooms, and school halls.
It also includes procurement of ICT equipment like smart boards, smart TVs, tablets, drones, and robotics sets.
Ahmad Jailani said the initiative focuses on creating a conducive learning environment.
He emphasized the importance of cooperation among government agencies to produce competitive future generations. – Bernama
