Yazmin Aziz adds another overseas stage after her Singer Malaysia grand finals run.
MALAYSIAN-Filipina singer Yazmin Aziz is set to perform in Mongolia this month after being invited to Ara Fest 2026.
The festival is being held throughout July at the Ara Complex in Arkhangai Aimag, with a programme covering music, traditional Mongolian culture, contemporary arts, family entertainment, tourism, horse racing, adventure sports and international cultural exchange.
Yazmin was invited by Mongolian singer Bayartsengel, the original performer behind Chigi Tigi Boom. The connection began last year when Yazmin performed the song during Silk Way Star in Kazakhstan.
Her rendition caught Bayartsengel’s attention and later led to the invitation to perform with him in Mongolia.
The festival line-up also includes Bayartsengel and Michelle Joseph, winner of Silk Way Star 2025.
The Mongolia performance comes after Yazmin reached the grand finals of Singer Malaysia, a Chinese-language singing competition. She advanced in the competition despite not being fluent in Chinese, placing her among the finalists before her scheduled trip to Mongolia.
Yazmin previously represented Malaysia at Silk Way Star in Kazakhstan and performed aboard the Wish Bus, a live music platform known across the region.
Her recent run has taken her across several performance settings, from an international competition in Kazakhstan to a Chinese-language contest in Malaysia and now a cultural festival in Mongolia.
The Ara Fest appearance gives Yazmin another overseas stage while extending her work beyond Malaysia’s music circuit.
