Pos Malaysia targets 50,000 to 70,000 customers for its new Syariah-compliant digital gold service, Pos ArRahnu Gold-i, in its debut year

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Bhd is targeting between 50,000 and 70,000 customers for its newly launched Syariah-compliant digital gold service, Pos ArRahnu Gold-i, in the first year.

Head of Pos ArRahnu Mohammed Zubair Peerpulavar said that Pos ArRahnu Gold-i, launched in partnership with Go Capital Growth Sdn Bhd, targets both investors and the mass market.

“We are more focused on B40 and M40 customers,” he told reporters after the launch of Pos ArRahnu Gold-i here today.

In a separate statement, Pos Malaysia said the digital gold service combines Go Capital Growth’s gold expertise with a simple, secure platform, enabling Malaysians to start saving and investing in gold from as little as RM10, while providing a practical and accessible way to begin their gold savings journey.

“Pos ArRahnu Gold-i responds to this demand by lowering the entry point and making participation easier for first-time savers, young working adults, families and B40 customers.

“Building on more than 200 years of trust and nationwide reach, Pos Malaysia continues to expand its services beyond traditional postal and logistics offerings to meet the evolving needs of Malaysians through simple, practical and value-added solutions,” it said.

Pos Malaysia said the gold offered through Pos ArRahnu Gold-i is backed by recognised accreditation and verification from relevant bodies, including the London Bullion Market Association, the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia, and the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia (NMIM), providing customers with greater assurance of authenticity, quality, and transparency.

The service allows customers to buy, sell, and accumulate gold digitally at real-time market prices, benefit from one of the lowest gold spreads in the market, and convert their digital gold into physical gold or cash when needed.

The national post and parcels service provider said Pos ArRahnu Gold-i combines Pos Malaysia’s nationwide reach with recognised gold assurance, a low entry point, and the flexibility for customers to buy, sell or convert gold through digital channels or at Pos ArRahnu outlets nationwide.

In conjunction with the launch, Pos ArRahnu is also introducing selected gold products, including the special-edition 1g “Pos World” gold bar, limited to 500 pieces.

The bar will be available alongside other gold products at Pos ArRahnu outlets nationwide.

Pos ArRahnu Gold-i is available from July 13, 2026, through participating Pos ArRahnu outlets nationwide and via its digital service.
