MACC welcomes Felda’s request for additional Certified Integrity Officers to strengthen governance and integrity within the organisation.
PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has welcomed FELDA’s request for additional Certified Integrity Officers (CeIO) to strengthen governance and integrity within the organisation.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said the request reflected the continued confidence and trust placed in the commission’s role in combating corruption.
He said this in a statement issued following a courtesy call by FELDA’s top management, led by director-general Datuk Dr Suzana Idayu Wati Osman, at the MACC headquarters here today.
The statement said both parties also discussed strengthening strategic cooperation and exchanged views on enhancing governance and organisational integrity.
In the same statement, Suzana Idayu Wati said the visit was aimed at building a stronger, sustainable and high-impact partnership in support of the national anti-corruption agenda.
“Cultivating integrity, good governance and accountability remains a priority for FELDA’s leadership to ensure the organisation continues to earn the trust of the government, settlers and stakeholders,” she said.
She added that FELDA had adopted a Zero Tolerance Towards Corruption Policy, reflecting its firm commitment not to compromise on any form of corruption, abuse of power or misappropriation.
