PSD introduces Touch ‘n Go e-wallet pension payments

PSD launches Touch ‘n Go e-wallet pension payments and expands MyPesara Plus programme to benefit over 835,000 retirees with secure and flexible services.

PUTRAJAYA: A total of 835,146 pensioners and derivative pension beneficiaries will benefit from two new Public Service Department (PSD) initiatives, namely pension payment channel through the Touch ’n Go e-Wallet and expanded MyPesara Plus benefits.

Public Service director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz said the alternative channel was the first initiative of its kind introduced in the public sector to help retirees who face difficulties receiving their pensions due to frozen or blocked bank accounts after falling victim to financial scams.

He said the initiative, developed through collaboration between the PSD, the Ministry of Finance, Retirement Fund (Incorporated) (KWAP) and Touch ’n Go e-Wallet, would ensure retirees continue to receive their pension payments without disruption through a more flexible and secure channel.

“By May 2026, a total of 122 pensioners had received their pension payments through this method, involving monthly payments amounting to RM254,841.21,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Wan Ahmad Dahlan said the MyPesara Plus initiative expanded the Pensioner Benefits Programme by turning the pensioner card into more than just an identification document, allowing retirees to enjoy various benefits through strategic partnerships with the private sector.

He said the initiative would allow retirees to enjoy special offers and discounts from strategic partners in sectors including healthcare, pharmacy, transport, retail, accommodation and various other services through the physical pensioner card or the MyPesara app.

Wan Ahmad Dahlan said the introduction of the two initiatives reflected the PSD’s commitment to strengthening the welfare ecosystem for retirees through an innovative, inclusive and technology-driven approach.

“The PSD is not merely responsible for managing retirement matters and pension payments; it is also committed to ensuring retirees continue to enjoy a better quality of life after retirement through services that are more accessible, secure and value-adding,” he said, adding that the department will continue expanding partnerships with ministries, agencies and industry partners to provide more benefits for retirees.

“Appreciating the contributions of civil servants does not end on the day they retire. Instead, it continues through the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure they receive quality services and benefits that remain relevant to their post-retirement needs,” he added.
