In a new format for this year’s PMGC, the competition kicks off with The Gauntlet, where 16 PMSL representatives from each region fight for the Top 7 spots in the Finals. Those who don’t qualify will advance to the Group Stage.

In the Group Stage, the Gauntlet teams will be split into two groups, GREEN (28–30 Nov 2025) and RED (2–4 Dec 2025), along with the best teams from different countries. Only the Top 3 will proceed to the Finals, while the Bottom 5 are eliminated. Teams ranked in between will proceed to Last Chance, where only the Top 2 will proceed to the Finals.

Only eight teams from Southeast Asia qualified for the tournament, including Malaysia’s sole representative, ALLIANCE (formerly CelcomDigi Alliance). In their fourth attendance in a row, ALLIANCE managed to rank #15 in the 2023 Finals but failed to qualify for the 2024 Finals. Will they be able to shine brighter this time?
Southeast Asian teams will be aiming to surpass their strong Top 5 track record, with D’XAVIER securing Top 5 finishes at PMGC 2021 and 2023, and VOIN Esports finishing in the Top 5 in 2024. Adding to the excitement, all five past PMGC Final MVPs will be competing this year, making PMGC 2025 a true gathering of the world’s best talents.

“The year is coming to a close, and it’s ending on a high note with this final tournament. I’m extremely proud and excited that ALLIANCE has secured a spot on the global stage, and I wish our Malaysian team nothing but success. We are also deeply grateful for the support of our partners, who make opportunities like this possible,” said Eugene Chin, Country Manager for Tencent Games in Malaysia.
The Grand Finals will be held on 12–14 December 2025 at PARAGON HALL, SIAM PARAGON. Tickets are required to experience the exhilarating competition, on-ground booths and activities, so purchase yours today: https://www.ticketmelon.com/PUBGmobileesports/pmgcfinals2025/
