No RON95 fuel volume offences detected in nationwide inspections

KPDN confirms all RON95 dispensers meet measurement standards after inspecting 2,282 pumps at 584 stations nationwide following consumer complaints.

PUTRAJAYA: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has confirmed no RON95 fuel volume offences were detected during nationwide inspections.

All petrol station operators met measurement standards set for fuel dispensers following consumer complaints about quantity discrepancies.

KPDN enforcement director-general Datuk Azman Adam said inspections covered 2,282 RON95 dispensers at 584 stations of various brands from November 2-9.

“The aim was to ensure all dispenser pumps underwent verification with valid periods,” he said in a statement.

Inspections also verified dispenser accuracy remained within permissible error margins and detected any manipulation or technical non-compliance.

“No offence involving RON95 volume below maximum permissible margin of error was detected throughout this operation,” Azman confirmed.

He reiterated the ministry’s commitment to maintaining accurate RON95 measurement to prevent consumer losses.

Azman shared that periodic inspections would continue with stern action against any manipulation or non-compliance.

The ministry prioritizes consumer protection and transaction fairness in all fuel transactions.
