Jalan dan View Point Wang Kelian ditutup sementara atas faktor keselamatan

Polis tutup jalan dan View Point Wang Kelian di Padang Besar berikutan risiko cuaca dan struktur jalan tidak stabil demi keselamatan pengguna.

KANGAR: Polis menutup sementara jalan dan View Point Wang Kelian dekat Padang Besar bermula 7 malam tadi kepada semua pengguna.

Penutupan ini berikutan risiko keselamatan disebabkan keadaan cuaca dan struktur jalan yang tidak stabil.

Ketua Polis Daerah Padang Besar ACP Mohd Shokri Abdullah berkata keputusan itu hasil penelitian risiko serta perbincangan dengan agensi keselamatan dan teknikal.

Perbincangan diadakan di Pusat Kawalan Tempat Kejadian Universiti Malaysia Perlis Sungai Chuchuh petang tadi.

“Penutupan ini sehingga Jabatan Kerja Raya mengesahkan laluan itu kembali stabil, sesuai dan selamat digunakan,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Mohd Shokri menegaskan keselamatan pengguna menjadi keutamaan pihak polis.

Agensi terlibat dalam perbincangan itu termasuk Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia serta Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia.

Beliau berkata polis dan agensi keselamatan kini melaksanakan pemantauan 24 jam di kawasan terjejas.

Pembukaan semula jalan akan dimaklumkan selepas disahkan benar-benar selamat oleh pihak berkuasa.
