Peniaga rugi RM135,700 dalam penipuan pelaburan saham dalam talian

Seorang peniaga di Chukai kerugian RM135,700 selepas terpedaya dengan skim pelaburan saham palsu yang dipromosikan di Facebook

CHUKAI: Seorang peniaga di sini mengalami kerugian RM135,700 selepas menjadi mangsa penipuan pelaburan saham dalam talian sejak Oktober lalu.

Ketua Polis Daerah Kemaman Supt Mohd Razi Rosli berkata mangsa berusia 51 tahun itu tertarik dengan iklan pelaburan saham di Facebook pada 2 Oktober.

Mangsa kemudian menghubungi suspek melalui WhatsApp untuk menyertai pelaburan tersebut.

“Mangsa telah melakukan sebanyak 33 transaksi kemasukan wang melalui Mesin Deposit Tunai ke dalam lapan akaun bank yang berbeza berjumlah RM136,400 bermula dari 5 Oktober hingga 2 November lepas,” katanya.

Bagaimanapun, mangsa hanya menerima pulangan berjumlah RM700 daripada pelaburan itu.

Mangsa yang menyedari ditipu telah membuat laporan di Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Komersial Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Kemaman semalam.

Kes itu disiasat di bawah Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan kerana menipu. – Bernama
