ALOR SETAR: Two teachers in Kedah have been removed from Ministry of Education institutions pending investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Kedah Education Department confirmed it is currently investigating both cases.
In a statement, the department said it takes the allegations, which circulated on social media, very seriously.
“The department will not compromise on any form of sexual misconduct and will continue to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and all members of the education community,” it said.
Screenshots of conversations allegedly involving a male teacher and a 15-year-old female student at a state school went viral online.
In a separate case, another teacher is accused of indecent behaviour and using sexually explicit language at a secondary school here. – Bernama
