Bung Moktar admitted to private hospital in Kota Kinabalu

KOTA KINABALU: Kinabatangan Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, who is also the Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.

His son, Naim Kurniawan Moktar, confirmed this but refused to elaborate on his father’s exact illness.

He also humbly called on all parties to pray for the health of his father, who is also the Lamag state assemblyman.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, Naim Kurniawan, on behalf of his family, thanked all the imams in Lamag for organising ‘solat hajat’ (prayer of need) and prayed to Allah SWT for his father’s health.

“We are grateful for the prayers and concern of the imams. They are a source of strength for us as a family. May Allah SWT bless all your efforts and grant you many rewards,” he posted.

Meanwhile, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, in a brief statement, prayed that Bung Mokhar would have a swift recovery, and matters related to his treatment be facilitated.

“May Allah SWT grant strength, patience and protection to him and his family in facing this test. Surely, every trial has its lessons. Insha-Allah, he will quickly recover,” he said.

Sabah UMNO deputy chief Datuk Seri Rahman Dahlan, in a statement, also prayed that Bung Moktar will recover swiftly and that Allah SWT will facilitate all matters.
