New book offers bite-sized Quran reflections for daily inspiration

Mahani Zubedy’s new book provides 365 short daily Quran reflections, aiming to make the holy text accessible to all, launched in Petaling Jaya

PETALING JAYA: A new book offering bite-sized Quranic reflections for daily use was launched today.

365 Quran – Two-Minute Daily Reflections by Mahani Zubedy aims to make the holy text more accessible to Malaysians of all backgrounds.

Published by Zubedy Sdn Bhd, the book contains 365 short entries.

Each entry starts with a selected Quranic verse followed by a simple and practical reflection.

Mahani said the inspiration came directly from the verses themselves, emphasising it is not a scholarly commentary.

“Every time I read a verse, I’m blown away. The verses inspire me and get me thinking,” she said.

She added that the writing is about how each verse speaks to her personally.

The book was officially launched by Tunku Zain Al-Abidin Tuanku Muhriz.

Mahani hopes readers realise connecting with the Quran is not limited to any particular group.

“Sometimes we think religion must be approached in a certain way, but to me, the Quran shows that anyone can connect and be inspired,” she said.

Tunku Zain Al-Abidin said the format helps busy individuals reconnect with their faith.

He noted many in public policy, academia or business feel disconnected.

“The bite-sized format allows us to dive in without the noise and distractions of social media,” he said.

He added the selected verses inspire, calm and remind readers of their purpose.

He expressed confidence the book will benefit both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Described as a practical daily companion, the book is available at MPH bookstores nationwide.

It is priced at RM65.70, with a promotional offer of RM50 for the launch. – Bernama
