Transport Ministry upgrades two Negeri Sembilan villages with RM1 million projects

The Transport Ministry is implementing RM1 million in projects for Kampung Panchor and Kampung Baru Paroi, including playgrounds, fencing, and sports facilities

SEREMBAN: The Transport Ministry (MOT) is implementing nearly RM1 million in improvement projects for Kampung Panchor and Kampung Baru Paroi under the MADANI Adopted Village programme.

Minister Anthony Loke announced three major initiatives for Kampung Panchor, coordinated by the local Village Development and Security Committee.

These include upgrading the playground and security fencing at the Panchor people’s housing project.

A new arch will also be constructed at the entrance to the housing project.

The third project involves installing an anti-climb galvanised fence at the Taman Jermerleng Indah Surau.

The Negeri Sembilan Road Transport Department (JPJ) will conduct additional vital works in the area.

These projects include repairing a damaged drain and upgrading a damaged futsal court.

Tree-trimming and clearing will also be carried out to ensure resident safety.

Loke also shared that community infrastructure in Kampung Baru Paroi is being upgraded.

This work includes improvements to the basketball court, public toilets, and the installation of new signboards.

The MOT is acting as a mediator to help residents deal smoothly with related agencies.

This includes assisting with applications to change land status from leasehold to freehold.

The ministry is also helping to resolve connection pipe issues with Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS).

A separate RM100,000 has been allocated to help several schools under the MADANI Adopted School programme.

For SMK Seri Ampangan, funds will supply Google TV for digital learning and support teacher team building.

The allocation will also be used for paving roads and parking lots at the school.

The state JPJ will focus on SMK Panchor and SK Panchor by upgrading resource centres and computer labs.

Additional sports equipment will also be provided to these schools.

Meanwhile, the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) will focus on SMK Teriang Hilir in Jelebu.

Its efforts include a Teacher Professional Development programme and upgrading existing infrastructure.

APAD will also organise graduation ceremonies and donate sports equipment to the school.

The Marine Department will channel RM100,000 to SK Mantin to support academic and co-curricular activities.

The funds will also go towards student affairs and infrastructure improvements for 1,388 pupils. – Bernama
