Danish raih gangsa 100m Sukan SEA, pecah rekod peribadi di Bangkok

Pelari pecut negara Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee meraih gangsa 100m lelaki Sukan SEA 2025 sambil memecahkan rekod peribadi terbaiknya

BANGKOK: Pelari pecut negara Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee tidak menghampakan dalam penampilan sulung Sukan SEA dengan meraih gangsa acara 100 meter lelaki.

Kejayaan itu diraih di Stadium Supachalasai hari ini dalam saingan Sukan SEA Thailand 2025.

Sensasi tuan rumah Puripol Boonson mendominasi acara itu dengan catatan 10 saat untuk emas.

Wakil Indonesia Lalu Muhammad Zohri meraih perak dengan masa 10.25 saat.

Danish melengkapkan podium dengan catatan 10.26 saat.

Beliau mengakui seronok dapat berentap dengan jaguh Asia Tenggara Puripol.

Danish juga berjaya memperbaharui catatan peribadi terbaiknya kepada 10.18 saat dalam pusingan saringan.

Catatan saringan itu dilakukan dua jam sebelum saingan akhir berlangsung.

Beliau berkata panduan daripada jaguh pecut negara Muhammad Azeem Fahmi melonjakkan motivasinya.

“Azeem beritahu lakukan yang terbaik dan berlari ikut rentak kita,” katanya.

“Saya juga dapat nasihat dari ibu bapa dan rakan-rakan untuk Sukan SEA kali ini.”

Danish menambah beliau bersyukur dapat membaiki rekod peribadi dalam saringan.

“Untuk final saya hanya berserah pada Allah SWT sahaja,” ujarnya.

Dalam acara 100 meter wanita, wakil Filipina Kristina Marie Knott mencipta kejutan.

Beliau menewaskan pemenang emas edisi lepas, Shanti Pereira dari Singapura.

Kristina merekodkan 11.31 saat untuk meraih emas.

Shanti Pereira terpaksa berpuas hati dengan perak menerusi catatan 11.36 saat.

Wakil tuan rumah Khanonta Jirapat meraih gangsa dengan masa 11.54 saat.

Ratu pecut negara Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli menamatkan cabaran di tangga ketujuh.

Beliau mencatatkan masa 11.81 saat.

Sukan SEA Thailand 2025 berlangsung dari 9 hingga 20 Disember ini.

Kejohanan ini melibatkan dua wilayah iaitu Bangkok dan Chonburi. – Bernama
