A fire at the Kuala Besut Health Clinic damaged 80% of its file storage room, with staff using extinguishers to prevent total destruction.
JERTIH: A fire damaged 80% of a file storage room at the Kuala Besut Health Clinic yesterday evening.
The Besut Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call at 6.44 pm and dispatched eight firefighters.
Upon arrival, the team found the fire already burning inside the clinic’s storage area.
Clinic staff had used fire extinguishers to control the blaze before firefighters arrived.
Their quick action prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.
Station Chief Muhammad Azrul Izzham Zulkifli said the operation was completed by 8.17 pm.
He confirmed the staff’s efforts stopped the fire from causing 100% destruction. – Bernama
