Penjaga rugi RM496,000 dalam penipuan kerja sambilan di Facebook

Seorang peniaga lelaki di Pahang kehilangan hampir setengah juta ringgit selepas diperdaya oleh penipuan tawaran kerja sambilan yang dipromosikan di Facebook.

KUANTAN: Seorang peniaga lelaki berusia 61 tahun rugi hampir setengah juta ringgit dipercayai akibat penipuan tawaran kerja sambilan yang dipromosikan melalui Facebook pada Ogos lalu.

Ketua Polis Pahang Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman berkata mangsa dihubungi individu yang menyamar sebagai wakil platform e-dagang dan diberikan pautan palsu untuk mendaftar sebagai penjual.

Mangsa kemudian diarahkan menjalankan kerja sambilan dengan memilih produk untuk dijual ke pasaran Eropah.

“Mangsa dimaklumkan bahawa kos barangan perlu ditanggung terlebih dahulu dan akan menerima komisen keuntungan sebanyak 30% bagi setiap produk yang berjaya dihantar,” katanya dalam kenyataan media.

Lelaki itu membuat beberapa transaksi pembayaran ke akaun suspek bagi pembelian barangan berjumlah lebih RM505,000.

Pembayaran itu menggunakan wang Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) dan simpanan peribadi mangsa.

Pada peringkat awal, mangsa menerima keuntungan lebih RM8,303 melalui tiga transaksi, meyakinkannya untuk membuat pembayaran seterusnya.

Namun, mangsa kemudian diminta membuat bayaran tambahan secara berterusan bagi tujuan yuran dan melengkapkan proses pelepasan dana.

Selepas bayaran dibuat, keuntungan seterusnya gagal diterima dan dana yang dijanjikan tidak dilepaskan.

“Mangsa akhirnya mengesyaki telah diperdaya serta mengalami kerugian RM496,000,” kata Yahaya.

Mangsa telah membuat laporan di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Bentong semalam.

Kes itu disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan kerana penipuan.
