Airport check-in and boarding resume normal operations after disruption

MAHB confirms global passenger processing system fully restored, allowing check-in and boarding at Malaysian airports to return to normal.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has announced that the global passenger processing system at airports in Malaysia is now fully restored.

The system provider has resolved the earlier disruption, allowing check-in and boarding operations across MAHB’s airports to resume normal operations.

“Airport and airline teams will continue to monitor the situation to ensure smooth processing,” MAHB said in a statement.

The company also thanked travellers for their patience and cooperation during the incident.

A temporary disruption involving a global passenger processing system used by multiple airlines worldwide had earlier affected passenger processes at Malaysian airports.

MAHB said the disruption may have impacted passenger processing, prompting airlines operating at its airports to activate contingency procedures.
