The RM195.4 million Johor Bahru Court Complex is 85% complete, with 24 courtrooms and facilities set to be ready by the end of March 2025
JOHOR BAHRU: The new Johor Bahru Court Complex in Iskandar Puteri is on schedule for full completion by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
The RM195.4 million project is currently 85% complete according to state officials.
State Public Works, Transport, Infrastructure and Communications Committee chairman Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh said the Public Works Department is closely monitoring site works.
Construction began on February 8, 2023, on a 6.8-hectare site next to the Kota Iskandar Mosque.
“Insya-Allah, once completed, this complex will become a new landmark for Kota Iskandar as Johor’s administrative centre,” Mohamad Fazli said in a Facebook post.
The complex is designed to meet Johor’s growing judicial infrastructure needs.
It comprises three main components: a single-storey multipurpose hall, a five-storey Block A and a three-storey Block B.
Facilities will include 24 courtrooms, administrative offices, a surau, a kindergarten and a cafeteria.
The development also provides 389 car parking spaces and 171 motorcycle bays.
