A Sessions Court acquits former Air Kelantan GM Wan Mohd Zamri of a 2015 corruption charge, ruling the money was used for flood victims.
KOTA BHARU: The Sessions Court today acquitted and discharged former Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd general manager Wan Mohd Zamri W Ismail on a corruption charge.
Judge Dazuki Ali ruled the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
He stated the RM10,000 in question was used to assist victims of major floods in December 2014.

“The defence successfully rebutted the presumption on the balance of probabilities under Section 50(1) of the MACC Act 2009,” Dazuki said.
Wan Mohd Zamri was accused of accepting a bribe from Ng Tze Wei via a bank cheque on January 22, 2015.
The alleged inducement was to help appoint Zog Technology as a subcontractor for a water supply scheme in Machang.
Defence counsels Ahmad ‘Adha ‘Amir Yasser Amri and Nur Sarah Syamimi Safie represented the accused.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Mariah Omar appeared for the prosecution. – Bernama
