Afghanistan reached the semi-finals of the last T20 World Cup in 2022.
They registered notable victories against fancied sides including New Zealand, West Indies and Australia during that campaign.
The same squad will play a three-match T20 series against West Indies in the United Arab Emirates next month.
Afghanistan Cricket Board chief executive Naseeb Khan said the team had a terrific run in the previous edition.
“We cherish excellent memories from the past and hope for even better results this year, which will be played in Asian conditions,” he said.
He added that hosting West Indies provides an incredible opportunity to fine-tune their combination.
