Thousands at St Anne feast in Bkt Mertajam, Port Klang

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Around 10,000 devotees thronged the St. Anne's Shrine here on Saturday night for a mass and procession to mark the annual St Anne's Feast.
After mass, Vatican Ambassador to Malaysia Archbishop Joseph Marino led the pilgrims in a candlelight procession.
The pilgrims were seen praying at the statue of St. Anne before the the 3km long procession began around 8.30pm.
The candlelight procession was celebrated in line with the 126th anniversary of the St Anne shrine which was previously known as St Anne's church.
Many locals and even tourists were seen snapping shots of the celebrated event which attracts thousands every year.
The procession passed through Jalan Kampung Baru, Jalan Berjaya and Jalan Maju before returning to the church around 9pm.
