MUJI launches rewards programme

Fans of MUJI rejoice! The Japanese lifestyle brand has launched a card-less rewards programme beginning Sept 5, where shoppers can earn attractive rewards on their purchases. This rewards programme is valid at all MUJI outlets nationwide.
With the MUJI Rewards Programme, every RM50 purchase entitles the rewards programme member to 1 MUJI Dollar. This is redeemable as a RM1 cash rebate on the next purchase. MUJI Dollars are only valid when used alongside a minimum purchase of RM20. It is also applicable for both regular priced and sales priced items, but not for voucher purchases, home delivery, alteration charges or corporate buys. Members are rewarded with double dollars when shopping at MUJI during their birthday month.
The MUJI Rewards Programme is open to Malaysian residents aged 15 and above. To apply for membership, a one time application is all that is required other than a single day's receipt in 2014 with a total spend of RM250 or above. MUJI Dollars or accumulated receipts using MUJI Dollars will not be accepted in the initial purchase value when applying for the rewards programme. Activation of MUJI membership is immediate, upon meeting all criteria.
There is no renewal necessary once applicants become a member of the MUJI Rewards Programme. However, MUJI Dollars cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash and each shopper is entitled to one MUJI Rewards Programme account number only.
Accumulation and redemption of MUJI dollars is updated using the customer's identification card or passport at the time of purchase. Members can check or view their MUJI Dollar Balance at the cashier counter at all MUJI stores in Malaysia, email customer service at muji.com.my or dial the customer hotline number (ref the official website).
There is no limit to the number of MUJI Dollars a shopper can accumulate but these must be redeemed by Dec 31 of the following year, before it expires. Malaysian customers and fans of MUJI can expect some 4,000 over products that include household items, clothing and stationery.
