Sapura Industrial’s Q4 net profit falls by 80% to RM1.3 million

    PETALING JAYA: Automotive parts manufacturer Sapura Industrial Bhd's net profit for its fourth quarter ended Jan 31, 2014 (Q4'FY14) plunged 80% from a year earlier as it registered lower turnover.
    In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Sapura Industrial said it made RM1.30 million in net profit for the quarter under review from RM6.78 million a year before.
    Meanwhile, revenue fell 26.1% to RM54.51 million compared to RM73.81 million in the same quarter previously.
    Its net profit for FY14 fell plunged 55.8% to RM8.05 million as compared to RM18.0 million for the previous year corresponding year.
    Revenue for the 12 month period was RM232.7 million, down from RM274.3 million in the previous year corresponding period, mainly due to lower domestic volume for certain models.
