Najib apologises for 'mistakes' of Finance Ministry

    PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, who is also the Finance Minister, apologised today if there had been any 'mistakes' the ministry had done.
    "If there are any mistakes, kekhilafan (misjudgements) or rudeness all this while, both I and (Finance Minister 2) Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah would like to seek apology and forgiveness," he said
    Speaking at the Finance Ministry's Hari Raya open house in-line with the Hari Raya's theme of seeking forgiveness, he said that the ministry has a huge responsibility in facing the world economy situation, which requires attention to details in executing the job.
    "We must understand the heart of the rakyat and as a team, the ministry would be able to carry out its entrusted responsibilities effectively," he said.
    Najib then welcome deputy minister Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani onboard the ministry, and joked that "the freshie needs to go through ragging".
