PETALING JAYA: Berjaya University College of Hospitality (Berjaya UCH) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IEC Quoc Anh, Vietnam, aimed at fostering greater ties and promoting academic links between the two countries.
Berjaya UCH is wholly owned by Berjaya Higher Education Sdn Bhd.
IEC Quoc Anh was represented by Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges director (department of International Relations) Hannah Dao, while Berjaya Higher Education was represented by its executive director and CEO Mae Ho.
Ho said the collaboration enables both countries to exchange knowledge and experience.
“Most importantly, it enables students from Vietnam to have the opportunity to be exposed to a different culture albeit being in the same region,” she said.
Students from IEC Quoc Anh will receive study grants and financial assistance to pursue hospitality programmes offered by Berjaya UCH. At the end of the programme, the students will also be provided with internships.
Berjaya UCH offers courses in hospitality, culinary arts, tourism and event management, business and liberal arts.
