Seven injured as IKBN bus rams into three-tonne lorry

    IPOH: Three students and three lecturers from Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN) in Kuala Langat, Selangor, were among seven people injured after a bus they were traveling in was involved in an accident at Km294 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS), near the Simpang Pulai R&R (North-bound), early today.
    Gopeng Fire and Rescue Department chief ASP Rohana Mustafa said the accident occurred at 4.35am when the bus hit a three-tonne lorry carrying oil palm.
    She said the bus, carrying 24 IKBN students was on its way to Alor Setar, Kedah from Kuala Langat while the lorry was also heading north.
    "As a result of the accident, the lorry carrying oil palm overturned, and the lorry driver was also injured. Three IKBN students and three IKBN lecturers were injured as well," she said when contacted by Bernama here today.
    She said all the injured were sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here for treatment. — Bernama
