Fire destroys part of plastic products plant

SEREMBAN: Fire almost completely destroyed one of six blocks of a factory manufacturing plastic products at the Nilai Industrial Site near here early today, according to the Nilai Fire and Rescue Station.
No one was injured in the blaze which occurred at about 1am, said its chief, Ahmad Ridwan Yahya.
He said the block housed manufacturing machinery as well as finished products.
Night shift workers managed to vacate the factory in time, he said, adding that the fire was brought under control at about 5.30am.
Ahmad Ridwan said the cause of the fire and damage had yet to be ascertained. — Bernama
