Dzulkifli Ahmad is new MACC chief

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad (pix) has been appointed as the new Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner effective Aug 1.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr. Ali Hamsa announced the appointment in a statement today.
Dzulkifli was formerly the chief of the National Revenue Recovery Enforcement Team, which is under the purview of the Attorney-General's Chambers.
He will replace Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, who steps down on Aug 1.
Abu Kassim will serve as an integrity consultant at UITM's law faculty. He was sworn in as the MACC's chief commissioner on Jan 1, 2010.
Dzulkifli's tenure will end on July 31, 2021.
While MACC deputy chief commissioner (prevention) Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali has been appointed as the new director-general of the Immigration Department. He will replace current director-general Datuk Seri Sakib Kusmi who has been transferred to the Public Service Department.
Meanwhile, the Higher Education Ministry's (MOHE) secretary-general Datuk Seri Zaini Ujang will be transferred to the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry as secretary-general starting Aug 5.
Zaini will replace Datuk Loo Took Gee who is retiring.
Science, Technology and Innovation deputy secretary-general Datuk Mohd. Azhar Yahaya will be promoted as secretary-general of the ministry, replacing Tan Sri Noorul Ainur Mohd. Nur,
Noorul Ainur will be MOHE's new secretary-general.
